Crunchy Nut Ice Cream Pie

Recipe Name: Crunchy Nut Ice Cream Pie

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups ground pecans, walnuts or almonds
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons margarine or butter -- softened
1 quart coffee, chocolate or vanilla ice cream
Rich Chocolate Sauce -- (recipe follows)
RICH CHOCOLATE SAUCE
8 ounces sweet cooking chocolate
OR
1 (6 ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup half-and-half

Method:

Heat oven to 400º. Mix pecans, sugar and margarine. Press firmly and
evenly against bottom and side of ungreased pie plate, 9 × 1 1/4 inches.
Bake 6 to 8 minutes; cool.
Spoon or scoop ice cream into pie shell. Freeze until firm, about 4 hours.
Remove from freezer 10 to 15 minutes before serving. Cut into wedges;
spoon Rich Chocolate Sauce over each serving.
RICH CHOCOLATE SAUCE:
Heat chocolate, sugar and water in saucepan over low heat, stirring
constantly, until chocolate and sugar are melted. Remove from heat; blend
in half-and-half. Serve warm or cool.
