Patty’s Pie Crust

Recipe Name: Patty’s Pie Crust

3/4 Tbs. salt
1 cup shortening
3 cups flour
1 egg, beaten
6 Tbs. cold ice water (or more)
1 tsp. vinegar

Cut salt and shortening into flour with fork. Add egg, water, and vinegar
mixture, 2 Tbs. at a time. Handle lightly, on flowered counter top. Sheet roll out a
portion large enough to fit the pie plate. Place in the pie plate, and bake at 450o for
15-25 minutes. Makes 2 single crusts.
